Meet the Doctors

Dr. Stanley G. Poulos, M.D.
A board-certified practicing plastic surgeon for over twenty-five years, Dr. Stanley G. Poulos, M.D. is truly a plastic surgery specialist. In addition to co-founding Plastic Surgery Specialists, Dr. Poulos holds positions at Marin General Hospital and Greenbrae Surgery Center.

After attending Southern Methodist University, Dr. Poulos earned his MD at the University of Texas. His internship and residency were completed at UCSF, General Surgery. Dr. Poulos’ plastic surgery fellowship was at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Poulos is board-certified through the American Board of Plastic Surgery an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Yngvar A. Hvistendahl, M.D.
A board-certified practicing plastic surgeon for over six years, Dr. Yngvar A. Hvistendahl, M.D. is co-founder of Plastic Surgery Specialists. Dr. Hvistendahl is also Chief, Division of Plastic Surgery, Marin General Hospital.

Dr. Hvistendahl completed his undergraduate work at Dartmouth College and attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University. Both his internship and residency were completed at UCSF, General Surgery. Dr. Hvistendahl’s plastic surgery fellowship was also completed at UCSF. Dr. Hvistendahl is board-certified through the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
